Performances

This past June 2022 we made a full return to in-person performances with a fully staged production of Les Misérables. We are planning a Contemporary musical themed variety concert for Saturday January 28th, 2023 and we plan as usual to announce a fully staged musical in late October (dependent on enrolment) which will be auditioned within the program in late January and performed the week of June 12th - 18th, 2023.

Theatre Blacks

All students of the program should own black jazz shoes and theatre blacks for performances. Theatre blacks can include black dresses, black skirts, black blouses, black dress pants, black dress shirts. These clothes are for performances so please no black jeans, jogging pants, shorts, yoga pants or athletic leggings. Thank you in advance!

Illness Policy

Students should not plan to attend classes in-person if they have any cold or flu like symptoms and should only plan to return to class after they have received a negative Covid test result. If a student receives a negative test result and wishes to return to class but still has lingering respiratory symptoms we require that they please wear a mask until those symptoms are resolved.

Location

We plan to resume in person classes weekly on Friday evenings in Rm 12 at the Maritime Conservatory located at 6199 Chebucto Rd, Halifax starting on Friday September 16th, 2021. By renting a rehearsal space at the Maritime Conservatory we are happy to maintain an affiliation with this wonderful historic building.
